Release Day
It's only two days until my book will finally be available on Amazon. I feel excited and terrified. I don't think it's fully registered that everything I've been working towards is finally here. Even holding the proof copy of both the paperback and hardback still felt unbelievable.
I have had so much support from my friends and family, and I am very grateful for everything they've done to help me. There were several moments when I wanted to give up, my lack of confidence waning more than normal, but they kept encouraging me, and it got me to the finish line.
I was going to let release day pass by like any other day, but my friends have organised a meal, with surprises (so I'm told). There was no way they were going to let me get away with not celebrating this achievement.
Having been an avid reader my whole life, I always wanted to write something, and now I have. And I hope that I can do more of it. Blessed is the first in what I hope will be a trilogy, but I have another story, in a different world with new characters, in the works, and many more ideas running through my mind.
I only hope that my friends and others enjoy what I've done.
